i guess it makes sense from a guy attached to a movement promoting industry sex parties
i guess "pessimistic" in his sense is more "AI is going to kill everyone" than "AI isn't going to do what optimists say it's going to do"

Yeah he’s not considering that scenario at all, but I think if you asked him about it he would say that’s the most optimistic scenario

Yeah, Yud is saying “the optimists <who he disagrees with> think this will make everyone unemployed, the pessimists <him> think it will literally kill everyone imminently”. And to be really clear, for deeply stupid reasons, he genuinely believes in the pessimist scenario
