This is the work of a good friend. Message him on Facebook - Dead Wood Turningz. These are some of his bowls. The reddish bowls are cherry. We just cut two wild cherry trees and gave him several large pieces so expect more. The lighter color with the nice pattern is spalted maple.

Very nice indeed. I have a couple of wooden bowls both given to us by my late father in law. The one with fruit is African, bought on holiday and the other one was hand crafted in Norfolk or Suffolk I think.

Both are gorgeous! I have some African carvings from my sister in law which are dark wood and they are mahogany.
