One would have to see if they actually knew the indicators for suicide in the person.
There was clear malice in the actions, and they SHOULD聽know that their actions could drastically increase risk of suicide in their victims.
I would think it should be second degree murder.

Given the malicious nature of this group towards harmless folks, I wouldn't put it behind me that suicide was the goal. They think they can get away with taking people's lives by inserting harmful thoughts into their minds. In their minds, its not murder if they aren't doing the traditional killing.

Yeah, legal technicalities are often bullshit. I'll tell you that.
Still, the difference between different levels of manslaughter and homicide charges is trivial in states without the death penalty.
I'm more concerned that they were subject to a massive wrongful death lawsuit.
